Psychotic disorders are mental health disorders in which a person’s personality is severely confused, thus losing touch with reality. When a psychotic episode occurs, a person becomes unsure about what is real and isn’t real, usually experiences hallucinations, delusions, off-the-wall behavior, chaotic speech and incoherency. A person behaving in this manner requires psychiatry and therapy. One of the best treatments used to help the patient is cognitive behavioral therapy and medication management.
ADHD is primarily a problem with sustained attention, concentration, and task persistence (ability to finish a task). During childhood and into adulthood, people may experience restless leg movement and fidgeting in their hands, communication may become impulsive, and one can become more forgetful and disorganized. People are generally not aggressive with this disorder and symptoms can be treated successfully.
